An arbitrary revision of the Bill of Rights

A bill to be entitled an Act - The Make America Better Bill of Rights Revision Act:

• TV news shall only be allowed to broadcast for 10 minutes; 30 is way too long. And any newspaper or magazine longer than 10 pages shall be outlawed.
• No more than 10 visits to any place of worship are allowed. To promote religious and cultural diversity all citizens must attend different places of worship and different religions, rotating every 10th visit so as not to become too indoctrinated into a single set of beliefs.
• Any group gathering in the same place for the more than 10 minutes shall be illegal.
• When your nation's military needs a place for soldiers to sleep - they shall sleep in your bedroom for no more than 10 consecutive nights.
• While government troops or agents are in your home, they may remove no more than 10 items of interest for further investigation. To remove more than 10 items will require a court warrant.
• In any criminal proceeding, the accused may refuse to answer 10 times. Upon the 11th question, answers are mandatory.
• Criminal trials will start no later than 10 months after indictment - no exceptions.
• Criminal trial juries will consist of 10 citizens with no alternates.
• All guilty verdicts at criminal trial will result in 10-year prison sentences - no more, no less - for all crimes from jaywalking to genocide.
• And of course no firearms or ammunition feeding devices will be capable of containing more than 10 rounds
• All amendments to the Constitution beyond the original 10 are unnecessary and immediately null and void.

Arbitrary restrictions on fundamental rights are neither reasonable nor Constitutional.

I like that. It makes some very good points.

How about:
TV stations and newspapers shall ONLY broadcast local news, you really don't need to know what we are doing in Washington...... peasant.
(And we know they legislate based on whatever "they" decide we "need")

That would have passed in a heartbeat before the mid-term elections.

(My most recent reply to anyone saying they know what I do or don't "need" is ...
"How many hurricanes, evacuations and aftermaths or other natural disasters have you been through to know what I "need"? Not as many as I have? Then I'm a better judge of that than you are, dontcha think?)

You left off:
You may not drive your vehicle any longer than 10 minutes. That's plenty of time to get to your nearest bur or train station. If your drive takes more than 10 minutes, you will be required to sell your home and move to the nearest bus or train station.
