Anybody used a "broker" to buy a new car?

Anybody used a "broker" to buy a new car?
Does anybody have any experience with using a "broker" to buy a new vehicle, instead of haggling with the dealers yourself?

I do not have any experience with using a broker, but here's
one proposal to get your best deal:
Go to the website of your preferred vehicle.
Build your desired vehicle, with preferred color and options.
Email this information to the "Internet" contacts at all dealers
within reasonable distance of your home.
In the email - ask for the dealer's best price on this vehicle,
delivered, without any of the high markup dealer-added options.
Let each dealer know that you are doing this, to encourage their
best price.
They want to sell vehicles, so you should receive their offers via
email.
Analyze the offers. Buy at the best place.
My 2 cents - consider that you get what you pay for. :-)

I bought a broken new car once, does that count?
Spartans ask not how many, but where!

Contact Jerry Reynolds (http://www.carproshow.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), send him an email and tell him what you want. He will set you up with a dealer who will treat you extremely well and will get a fair price with no haggling. I've bought three cars through his service and I'm very satisfied. Best of all, it's free.

Commander:
Jerry Reynolds is a DFW guy. OverEasy is a Houston guy.
I wonder if Jerry Reynolds' service would have Houston area contacts.

Yeah a broker works well, especially if you are rich and don't want to get down and negotiate.
Brokers on high end cars are especially familiar with incentives that average joe's are not aware of.
On cheap cars, if you have done your homework, I don't know if they can save enough to cover their commission or fee.

Re: Anybody used a "broker" to buy a new car?
Commander,
Jerry answered back and gave me contact info for his man at a near by dealership. I'm not ready to contact the dealer yet. We have not decided on a color. I received 2 emails from the dealer already offering me the "special Car Pro price" but only on what they have in stock. I guess Jerry sent them my contact info. I'm not happy about that and I told Jerry so. It was a good price according to the prices shown on TRUECAR.com but not a "great price".
Thanks again for the info.

Jerry usually does alert the dealer that a customer might be coming in, but I didn't know that he gave them the contact info...Jerry is a great guy, and I'm sure that he did it with the best of intentions....In my three dealings with him, I was never contacted by the dealer that he referred me to prior to me going in....Sorry you had this experience.

Edmunds will show current incentives, invoice pricing, and the typical sales price. If you haven't established a relationship with a salesman yet, I second the internet advice.
