If the Healthcare Bill is enacted and full national computerized records are made available to various agencies it will be a gun issue when information in your medical records is used against your ability to own a firearm. This crowd will use regulations to get around the Constitution and the second amendment; Obamacare is a minefield of regulations.

Sounds like a whole bunch of "ifs" and conspiracy theories to me. Hopefully the states that are filing motions to deem the healthcare package unconstitutional are successful and it goes away.

Call me a conspiracy nut, but I don't doubt it for a minute.
I'm not going to call anybody names on this website. If folks want to believe that the healthcare bill will somehow lead to gun control thats fine. The issue I have is that if you believe this will be the case with this piece of lesgislation you'll probably believe it can happen with any piece of lesgislation. This will open up everything that comes out of Washington DC for discussion on this website. There are plenty of other websites out there for topics such as these..
No, I am calling myself names. And yes, this concept does open up a myriad of possibilities. All I have to do is open up the last two or three issues of American Rifleman and see where the Administration is trying to do regulatory end-runs in order to gain the same effect as legislative gun control. And believe me, I do not limit my strange mind-trips to data gleaned solely from one magazine.
Maybe I am not such a nut after all.

I read the same magazine as you do. The past issue alone had two really good articles about the threats we as gun owners are under. One was a prime example for why we should kick the United Nations out of America. Perhaps someone will start a thread on one of those so we can all discuss those threats. If I missed a credible link between the healthcare bill and gun control I would be more than willing to admit my mistake. I just haven't seen or heard anything on this other than what I see is plain ol' conjecture.

What I took away from those articles is the administrations creative use of regulations to substitute for legislation. I would have to go home and pull the issues off of my commode-based library assortment in order to accurately quote excerpts. :biggrinjester:
