I have been oogaling one for a while and wanted opinions.
My main concern is the kick .40 is a snappy round and the emp is not a big gun.
I want to hear from those that have shot them what they think.

Re: Emp-40
Don't own one but I rented on from a local range and let a box of rounds loose. I think it is very manageable for a defensive situation. .40 is not my preferred round personally, but I have shot both the EMP in .40 and 9mm. I have been looking for quite a while at one myself. I think the pistol in general is fantastic, the fit and finish is superb reliability was 100% for both I shot.
Good luck

Just be sure you know that the EMP-40 is a much heavier gun (steel frame) than the EMP in 9mm (aluminum frame).

I had no idea. When I rented the two it was not at the same time.

There is a 6 oz. difference between the two. 27 oz. vs. 33 oz.RECIT wrote:I had no idea. When I rented the two it was not at the same time.

I have shot my friends on a few occasions and found the recoil very tame for a 40 caliber. When shooting it next to a XDSC40, it felt like a 9mm.

Thanks, it has been a long day.
My buddy is alive and well for any concerned. Back on topic, it is a sweet little shooter. If you can find one to rent, I think you will agree.
