Anyone a member of sigforum?
My account has been pending approval for a few weeks now and I saw something on the classified section that I am interested in. If you are a member on that forum, can you find out the seller's email for me? The seller's user name is CSAR. Thanks!
Re: Anyone a member of sigforum?
I tried to join the forum almost a year ago. My approval is still pending. If it's ever approved, I doubt I'll bother.

Just remember, no using Gmail/Hotmail/etc. addresses to register. More often than not that'll cause the delay.

...no interest in sigforum, but a question about what SigM4 said...what other kind of address is there??? I've seen before something about a forum's not accepting hotmail...which is all I've ever had...is there a better grade of email???

Re: Anyone a member of sigforum?
Many forum sites will not accept email addresses from free email sites because it is too easy to set up a phony address to spam or troll a board. However, most ISP accounts come with with an email address that is included in what you pay for your ISP service. For instance, if you are a Verizon FiOS customer, you will have an email address something like "username@verizon.net". Addresses like that will usually be accepted anywhere. Ditto addresses provided by employers. Those kinds of addresses come with some kind of accountability. The free ones don't, which is why some forums won't accept them.speedsix wrote:...no interest in sigforum, but a question about what SigM4 said...what other kind of address is there??? Re: Anyone a member of sigforum?
I personally got tired of having to tell everyone everytime my email changed because I got a new cable company or my cable company was bought out. So I went to godaddy, there are others that offer the same service, and got my own domain name. They have email hosting that goes with it. So for $100 or so every two years I have an email address that is unique and will never change as long as I pay them. The one that I have has 5 email account so my kids and my parents and myself can all use it. It saves a lot of headaches in the long run. Just another option.
