Superbowl Food

Post by 74novaman »

Did anyone else make anything for super bowl parties? I'm not a huge NFL fan, but I don't mind getting a chance to cook!

Here's what I made this year: Atomic Buffalo thugs

Those look good. I'm not a big fan either, but will be watching the game. I just picked up some take and bake pizzas from Sams. I'll also be making some rotel queso dip.

Well, that's a simple fix; just don't invite him to your party! :lol:

I'm making a homemade pastrami.

Ground beef and sausage chili. I found a recipe on the internet, got me a 6 quart crock pot, and made chili for the first time a few weeks ago and everyone that tried it loved it. I substituted a couple cans of Rotel for a few things and it was great. I doubled the recipe this time and to take it up a notch used four cans of Rotel with two of them being the HOT cans.

The Annoyed Woman is making a homemade pizza from scratch, and we've got some brats and other yummies.

My youngest daughter loves to cook. She has a Dr. Pepper cake in the oven, is making crescent wrapped Lil' Smokies, chose chips and dips, and we are making hot wings and honey BBQ Wings. I will have to walk extra this week.

It is fun having a cook in the family! Now if I could just get one to enjoy cleaning!

I suppose I could have put a link to mine too.

http://southernfood.about.com/od/crockp ... 90122h.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I substituted 2 cans of original Rotel for the following items. I cooked mine for only about 5 hours.

1 can (4 ounces) mild green chili peppers
2 to 3 tablespoons diced jalapeno peppers, or to taste
2 cans (14.5 ounces each) diced tomatoes or fire-roasted tomatoes, undrained
