Do I need to send my old CHL back to Austin?
I got my new CHL with my new address in the mail about a month ago. Do I need to send my old one back?

The only time you're required by law to send back your old license is when you change the category--ie upgrade from NSA to SA. I just cut up my old one and threw it away when I renewed.Doug.38PR wrote:I got my new CHL with my new address in the mail about a month ago. Do I need to send my old one back?

Yeah. I believe they DO want you to destroy it though. I think technically you're not supposed to have two that are both "valid" at one time.hirundo82 wrote:The only time you're required by law to send back your old license is when you change the category--ie upgrade from NSA to SA. ???? Well...if the old one doesn't have your current address....then it's not "valid" so.....why destory it?
Re: Do I need to send my old CHL back to Austin?
You do not need to. The expiration date, name chg, or address chg will make it an invalid license.will

Carry 24-7 or guess right.
