However, we are blessed with the fact that tie-dye and sandals community in Austin leverage FAR less political power than those in Seattle. On the other hand, I'd say there's a rather large community of 2A people in Seattle and the surrounding areas that keep things sane.
I've been to a couple Denny's around here, but it's been a while. I don't think they are posted. I like I-Hop better anyway.
It's been a little odd reading everyone's opinion on this verdict. Many of us always wonder if a business can be and would like a business to be held responsible if they are harmed buy a BG if the business prohibits them from carrying their concealed weapon inside. While this is certainly a different set of circumstances, I thought more folks here would be in agreement with the verdict.

That's the truth. The liberal guy I work with, who thinks Pelosi was a great Speaker, thinks all members of the Tea Party are racist (with me as the exception, of course), and loves Olbermann and gets all his news from Colbert, Jon Stewart, and HuffPo, made the comment just yesterday at work as we were comparing Austin to Seattle: "The people in Seattle are just batty, wacko liberal freaks. They don't have a conservative influence to counter their liberalism like they do in Austin."
My jaw about dropped to the floor.

As a general rule, a business is not responsible for the illegal acts of an unrelated third party. An exception to this general rule applies when a business owner knows that dangerous criminal conduct is occurring on their property and they do not take reasonable steps to protect customers.
If the evidence proved this Denny's was the scene of violence "almost every weekend" then that's why they would lose in Texas.
This is why the local Whataburger was forced to hire weekend-night armed security. (Well, that, and the police chief threatening to wake up the health inspector every time they got called out for a 2AM brawl there.)
