No Kinfe Control, No Car Control? Oh my GOD!

Post by Beiruty »

We need to do something about those blood sucking knife makers. I do not see a use for a Knife but to butcher something. What is going on? We need to have Knife control.
On the same token, we need Car Control too. Running over Pedestrian is horrondius. At least if we can save 1 life, it is worth it to ban cars too, in addition to the Knives. Car makers are killers too! Cars kill.

NEW YORK – A man who went on a 28-hour stabbing rampage that took the lives of his stepfather, his ex-girlfriend and her mother was arrested Saturday at a subway stop in Times Square after a nightlong manhunt across New York City, police said.

Maksim Gelman, 23, also hijacked a car, stabbing and wounding the driver and fatally hitting a pedestrian, authorities said.

New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly called the spree "horrendous and bizarre."

Gelman of Brooklyn was apprehended at 8:30 a.m. in the subway station, said chief New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne. Minutes earlier, a man was stabbed and wounded on a crowded No. 3 train in Manhattan.

28-hour stabbing rampage

Guns make more noise
Guns attract more attention
There's no way he'd be un-noticed 28 hours with a gun, probably wouldda been caught quicker

While legislating, don't forget scissors, they became popular in Australia when carrying knives were banned, after carrying guns were banned .... they need to ban scissors now. Yeah, in AU, the gangs gained access to houses by running cars into them, they need to ban those too. After running a car into a house, usually they pulled out their scissors, axes and cricket bats..... more to add to the list there ...

What about pencils - I've always been told not to run with a pencil in my pocket - I might poke my eye out.

The Houston Chronical showed one of the murder weapons, a Wusthof 20cm.

From the picture it looked new with the red sticker on the handle still in place. I wonder if New York has a waiting period for knives as, I assume the perp, just purchased the weapon.

Apparently he had five knives, it didn't say if they were all Wusthof. Wusthof knives are expensive, and many people prefer the Hinckle as their European knife of choice.

Many critics will say that no one really needs more than one knife, but I differ.

I have already stocked up some time ago and have about 25 Wusthof knives in various calibers with 20 cm being my biggest.

Here is Wusthof's website, I prefer the Classic, I like the looks and it fits better in my hand. http://www.wusthof.com/desktopdefault.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They are still available at Amazon.com, but after this incident, I suspect congress will move to curtail on line sales.

But what congress does not understand is that a 20cm knife is already illegal to conceal carry now. Criminal are the last to obey laws. You only take knives out of the pockets of law abiding citizens.

A careful reading of the article shows that the young woman upon discovering her mothers body, called 911. The attacker was, unknown to her, still in the apartment and then attacked and killed her.

Obviously this is a tragedy and shows that people will find any method available to them to commit a crime.
