What is Gnocchi soup? I'm not familiar with that. Mildred (my friend) eats the soup that's creamy with potatoes and green "stuff' in it, it that the Gnocchi? I eat the Fagioli. And it seems there was another kind. I normally eat at Italian Villa but sometimes get a craving for just soup and salad. The Fagioli soup fit the bill but now I'm wondering what the Gnocchi soup is.

OG provides me a bowl of Chicken Gnocchi soup that I really enjoy. This is a service to me that I can not get somewhere else. Believe me when I tell you that if OG was posted 30.06 and I could find a good bowl of Chicken Gnocchi soup elsewhere I would take my business there instead. Minute Maid Park in Houston does not allow smoking nor can I carry my gun there but they provide me with a product that I enjoy that I can not get anywhere else. Therefore they will continue to get my money. The pawn shop that is posted 30.06 also performs a service to me BUT I can get that service somewhere else. Therefore I will not go to that pawn shop.
My post was not intend to "jab" anyone, and if I offended you, my apologies. I was paraphrasing "general comments" made on two different threads.

Wife smoked 2 packs a day. I hate cigs, never smoked in my life.

Bought her an e-cig (lecig.com) for Christmas, she hasn't had a real cig since her first e-cig puff on Christmas day. No smell, no ash, but no shakes or withdrawal using 11mg.

She won't use the regular battery that looks like a real cig in a restrant because she doesn't want to upset people. Just being polite. She has a fat battery "pig cig", doesn't look anything like a real cig, doesn't light up, etc., she will take a sneaky hit in a restrant. She says the pig cig helps break the physical feel too. She gets the nicotine but not the muscle memory.

I know this is off topic, but...

for the e cig users, what's the cost compared to regular cigs?

I don't smoke cigs, but I do enjoy a cigar or pipe once in a blue moon.

I get mine locally. I bought my e-cig from esmokeone.com at a gun show in Ft. Worth. They are a local DFW area company and you can order on line. My dealer is only a few blocks from me. A pack of 5 cartridges is $5.40 and equals about 2 1/2 - 3 packs of cigarettes.Lasts me about a week. I use the "low" nicotine content. You can also get the "juice" bottles for $8.40 to refill the cartridges, but I find that it's too hit and miss on actual content doing it that way. I find the pre-filled cartridges much easier and seem to last longer. You can also get pipe and or cigar flavor if you like.My e-cig is all black, and looks like a pen, but I don't use it in public places.Don't want a MWAEC (Man with an e-cig) call to the cops by one of the "antis" (eciglophobe?).

Gnocchi are dumplings. Their soup is chicken and dumplings. According to their website, OG's verison also contains spinach. Just like Grandma used to make.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to tell a friend of mine at work because she loves chicken and dumplings. I guess I just never saw it listed on the menu. Good info to know.

Last week I got a gallon of their Gnocchi soup for 20 dollars.
Fed the family for multiple meals.
I love the sound smell of jet fuel in the morning.
Fat thumbs + IPhone = errors, please forgive.

Wow, another thing I didn't know, that they would sell it by the gallon. Makes sense to have that option. They probably have a brisk take out business.

G26ster wrote:IMHO there "may" be a double standard at play here. In a running thread, a member commented on a recent discovery that certain pawn shop was posted 30.06, and he had informed the management that he would not shop there and would make sure it was known they were posted and other CHLs probably wouldn't either. It fell on deaf ears at the shop. However, his post on the forum led to a series of "thumbs up" "good job" and general agreement that he had done a service. On the other hand, the OP of this thread did a similar thing at OG, but the reaction of the forum seems to be, "too bad, go someplace else" or "more food for me" or "I hate cigarettes and e-cigs, so too bad for you"
One huge difference is the restaurant did not prohibit the person from merely carrying an e-cig concealed in her pocket or purse. If they did that (like the 30.06 place bans merely carrying a handgun concealed) then I would agree that the restaurant was going too far, and I would have applauded the OP for what he said to OG. OK?
We're here. With gear. Get used to it.
