UPDATE: Houston Rodeo Cookoff NOT Posted

Going to the rodeo cookoff Friday night. Not going into the rodeo nor any of the arenas, strictly staying in the cookoff area. Anyone know if this is 30.06 posted? I did a search here and didn't get a clear answer.

Also taking the Metro train to get there. ***ETA: We can legally carry on Metro.

ETA II: Went to the cookoff tonight and it is NOT posted and there is no search on entry. Sure were a lot of drunks. As we took park and ride instead of the train I decided not to carry and I probably don't want a gun with me in that kind of crowd. There's better options for that environment. Leaving one of the tents the policeman at the door patted me on the back and I was thinking IF I was carrying and IF his hand had been a bit lower he may have felt the weapon, but no problem.

Leaving, the bus was full of drunks with some sorority girls trying for spirit award by leading the bus in song. 205 lumen strobe gets the drunk to shutup and sit down. Olight T20.

If my car were other than in the Park and Ride lot I'd have carried. Left the gun in the car and enjoyed a few beers myself at the cookoff.

Never been myself, so this is second hand info, at best. I have never heard of it being posted as 51%. Reliant Park is owned by the City of Houston, so you don't have to worry about 30.06, as I recall. As long as there is no professional eating contest (sporting activity ), I believe you'll be good to go.
