Actually, I don't want to sell it, but I have other firearms and accessories that I "need", and the Steyr only does nightstand duty that can just as well be taken care of by the G19 I bought last week. Here's what's for sale:
Steyr M40A1: Designed by Wilhelm Bubits, the former colleague of Gaston Glock, the Steyr M-A1 series was the natural evolution of the polymer pistol. It features improved ergonomics over the Glock, a fully supported chamber, loaded chamber indicator, an integral key lock, Picatinny rail, and fast acquisition triangle-trapezoid sights. The low bore axis greatly reduces muzzle flip, and this pistol has lower felt recoil than any other .40S&W pistol I have fired. I have put about 800 rounds through this pistol, with no FTF's, FTE's or malfunctions of any kind. It is exceedingly accurate and, while they take a little getting used to, the unique sights are faster for me to acquire and cneter than any other pistol sight I've used. The pistol shows very little wear. It has never been carried, and is normally kept in my nightstand in an Uncle Mikes cordura holster (not included).
Here is what is included:
Steyr M40A1
2-12 round magazines, both fully loaded with 165 gr. Federal Hydra-shoks.
2 keys for integral lock.
1 factory Steyr case
Original manual and assorted paperwork
100 rounds WWB FMJ range ammo.
Sale requires a TX DL and bill of sale. CHL is much preferred. FTF only in the Houston area. I will be in College Station for a short time Friday morning, and in Austin after that and throughout the weekend, and I would be willing to conduct the transaction in those locations.
Again, this is an excellent, fine-shooting pistol that I love. However, I'm not really giving it the use it deserves right now, and I'd rather see it go to someone who will shoot it and carry it as often as it deserves.
$500
