Actually, no. I thought the same thing until I read the article. It is fairly well stated and an entirely gun-friendly piece.AndyC wrote:Common sense and sensible - hmmm, without even reading it, I'm going to take a wild stab and guess that this was written by someone who considers themselves an authority on firearms even though they've never owned, shot or even handled one, right?
Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. - John Adams

Yeah, basically, it's a "pro-gun" article by a History Teacher using the "anti-gun" terminologies against them. Because our position is "common sense" rather than sending students to college defenseless.

Interesting guy. Started out as a liberal, because a Reagan Democrat, got disillusioned with the whole mess of them in Washington and became a LIbertarian. I considered becoming a Libertarian, but they have some really goofy ideas (like private police forces) that I cannot subscribe to or support. So now I'm a free particle acting as an irritant to the system.

The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison
