21 Days from Processing to Licensed Issued

Post by getnit1 »

After waiting almost 30 days from the mailing date of October 21 to the the date it showed Processing application Today it shows "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". How about that. 21 days to process. My situation was a little different than most as I had my CHL from 97-2001. I did not renew it when it was due. After 5 years without it some idiot pops up on the crime database with the same first and last name as mine and has caused me all kinds of problems buying my gun of the month. So I decided to retake it. I do not know that having it before helped but 51 days after mailing in it is approved and almost a 30 wait before it changed from packet mailed to applicant to processing apllication. They may be picking up speed also. I hope for everyone else. My local gunstore salesman almost fell out of his chair after selling me so many guns and then one day I was delayed. That was 4 days before dove season this year. I have bought 5 guns since then and only 1 went right through. The other 4 were delayed also. Last week I bought an AR left his shop after being told I was delayed and an 1 hr 15 minutes later he called and said they cleared me. Here goes the bank account again I can buy at any gun show on the spot again. It was almost nice having money in the bank but I'd rather have guns in the safe. Good luck to everyone else.

It took 3 days to get here in the mail. I was impressed 54 days total from mailing in application to license in my possession.
