Suggestion: A Thank Button

Post by warhorse10_9 »

In my browsing of the forum, I have often times found a post very insightful. When I am on some other forums I visit and this occurs there is actually a thank button we can hit and then within the insightful post it will say for example:

"reader a, reader b ....thanks poster for this post".

I think this may be a useful tool as currently the only way to acknowledge these posts is with :iagree: and a subsequent post. To me this can take attention away from the good post and often times adds number of unnecessary pages to a topic.

Thats just my two cents, what does everyone else think?

That's a great idea and I'll see if there's a mod I can add.

Some forums have "rep" points that can be awarded. Should be similar. I like the idea.

So that all facets of politeness should be observed:

I propose that the "Thank you" button should be paired with a "You're welcome" button.

As the King used to say "Thank you. Thank you verra much".

Good Point! I think that would work nicely.

Chas, thanks for jumping on this so quickly. :-)

I agree, but would only want to see positive feedback allowed. . . no negative rep points / "red" feedback. That's been the downfall of too many online communities I've seen.
