Prayers for a Friend

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayers for a Friend

Post by WildBill »

Please send prayers for my friend Benno and his family. Even though he is not a smoker, he was diagnosed with lung cancer late last year. He has been undergoing chemotherary and will have surgery next Monday to remove part of his lung.

Lord, we trust Benno to your care and mercy. Please guide the minds of his doctors and the hands of his surgeon, and be a balm in Gilead to his family.

I went to visit Benno yesterday and he is recovering from his surgery. He is looking good and waiting for a medical release so he can go back to work. He is walking about two miles a day to get his stamina up. The doctors believe that they got it all.

He told me some really good news. He hasn't succumbed to watching daytime TV.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

That's wonderful news. We'll keep him in our prayers for a full and lasting recovery.
