Interesting insight into an opponent of HB 750 and the 2A

Post by ELB »

...or, Why are Anti-Gun People So Violent?

On Jan 2, 2011, Rep Barbara Mallory Caraway from Dallas District 110 and her husband, Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway, had a "domestic dispute" at their home over throwing away some aprons (!) that resulted in the Mayor locking himself in a game room, the Rep kicking the door and sticking a knife thru a crack in the door, and the Mayor calling the Dallas Police Chief directly for help.

The Chief sent over a Special Investigations Unit, and the Mayor had a chat with them in their car about the incident and his wife. Unbeknownst to the Mayor, the conversation was recorded. The newspapers caught wind of the deal, and have been in court to try to get the tape released. The Mayor opposed this (and at one point told the newspapers that the incident at his house was between "Arthur" and "Archie.") It went up to Attorney General Greg Abbott, who said the tapes were public records, and finally a judge just ordered them released.

The Mayor had some insightful comments about his wife, According to him she may have a "chemical imbalance, and "She sometimes can get in a fit of rage. .... and when she gets set off, everybody just gets out of the way."

No charges were filed.

Representative Barbara Mallory Caraway sits on the Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee, and voted against HB 750. :totap:

Maybe she wants to get rid of guns so her hubby can't defend himself : Then NOBODY can easily defend themselves against someone with a knife, much less against your crazy wife.

sits on the Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee ???????????
Obama needs her, Nidal Hasan won't be at the next Homeland Security meeting, so there's a seat vacant.

Caraway, the temporary mayor, isn't all there. He gave Michael Vick the key to the city.

Typical Dallas politics. I doubt there is another city, outside of Chicago, that is as messed up as Dallas.

A truer statement was never made. It is a house of confusion and corruption top to bottom. :banghead:

...a lot of politics since 2008 at all levels deals more with the wrapper than the quality of the contents...

Caraway is also the one who gave Michael Vick a key to the city, which the mayor did not authorize.

Not all anti gun people are like this, but it seems that those who actively campaign against the 2A seem to do so because they know deep down they should never be trusted with a weapon.

From Mayor Daly talking about putting a gun up a reporters rear to this lady and her knife.....anti gun people are anti gun because they think everyone thinks the way they do...and if they had a gun they'd be out shooting people who they didn't like.

Actually the reporting was a little bit off. A security camera caught the actual action. It can be seen here...
