yup and the anti gun people continue to use the same old pointless statements.

I almost feel sorry for them. They have no data to support their prejudices. Their arguments are devoid of logic and reason. If they weren't working so hard to get innocent people killed, they would have my sympathy.alvins wrote:yup and the anti gun people continue to use the same old pointless statements.

When you have no facts or logic to support your argument, you go with the emotional appeal. That's what the anti-gunners do because it's all they have.

What? Is there an exemption to the CHL age requirement I don't know about? Can you get a CHL at 18 if you're planning on carrying on a college campus?"I don't think CHL's are bad, but when on campus you bring the age level of carriers down," Fitch said to The Houstonian in a Feb. 19, 2009 article.
This is an absurd statement. There's no situation where you bring the age level of carriers down on college campuses.

You can get a CHL at 18 if you are a member or veteran of the Armed Forces. Most vets will be over 21 and most 18-20 year olds in the military are not attending college, so I don't really see this affecting campus carry.Kythas wrote:What? 4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"

I realize that. This was more of a tongue-in-cheek response to an absurd statement in the article. The quoted statement implies that the act of allowing campus carry will allow younger students to carry.ScottDLS wrote:You can get a CHL at 18 if you are a member or veteran of the Armed Forces. I guess to give them the absolute most benefit of the doubt possible, she could be saying people that are over 21 and wouldn't have applied otherwise due to being in college will now get CHLs.
I got mine when I was 22 and still in school though, so

And since most people are ruled by their emotions it's a tactic that often works.
