BTW I do know how to spell, I guess that my spell check didn't catch instructer.. it is instructor.

Guys, read the entire thread before you post. The OP came back and said:

The Instructor said "You should always conceal your firearm at all times. Go somewhere private to arm yourself"

“During the instruction, the man teaching the class says that when he gets off an airplane, and retrieves his luggage, he publicly re-arms in the airport. (does not go to the bathroom, but takes his gun out of his bag, puts a loaded magazine in, racks the slide, and then holsters.) He said it is not brandishing because he does not do it to cause alarm.”

What am I missing here? :headscratch The above statement seems cut and dried to me.

Could the instructor have changed his opinion because he realized he was wrong?

I stand by my statement “I would report it to the DPS and let them sort it out.”

I would not have pointed this out to the instructor because if someone else brought the heat down on him, he would probably have been convinced it was me.

I have heard some horror stories about statements made in CHL classes and kept my mouth shut when an instructor made some off the wall statements in a class I took. I did not report it because I did not think any of the statements would get anyone arrested or shot.

I do think there should be some means of discouraging instructors from putting out bad info.
God Bless America, and please hurry.
When I was young I knew all the answers. When I got older I started to realize I just hadn’t quite understood the questions.-Me

The original poster contacted the instructor about what he thought he heard in class, the instructor said that was not what he said. The original poster said maybe he heard him wrong. Did I miss something?

Nope that sums it up. Everything after that is pretty much erroneous. We could actually lock the thread as the problem has been resolved.

:iagree: If you really want the thread locked, PM a moderator and they will probably do so.
