Wife Unit's CHL is up for renewal...

Post by stevie_d_64 »

Got the paperwork in the other day, and was sitting down with her to get the renewal process underway online...

BTW, what an easy process...

Got the reciept for payment, and a checklist to complete and send in when all the things they need are compiled and ready to send to Austin...

The one question we have, and we'll be calling the Austin office tomorrow to confirm as well...

They are saying they need her naturalization papers (Born out of Country) documents...Again???

Will a nice color copy of that document be sufficient for Austin??? I honestly do not remember, I'm sure we'll not send the original to them, but since they know to ask, then why do we need to send something to them again, if they already have it...

Seems like the old argument about fingerprints again... ;-)

This is only her 2nd renewal, so she'll be lining up her class with El Gato "The Magnificent" this next Saturday the 9th...

Take the document to a notary and have a "true copy" made.

I just sent them a copy of my passport and my Dept. of Defense dependent born abroad. Didn't notorize or anything. Seemed to satisfy them...again.

Kind of makes me wonder if you don't have to send in your picture or fingerprints for renewals then why can't my born abroad info stay in the system. It's not like they expire or anything???
