Note:
(Texas Land Commissioner is a statewide elected official (one of many) yayyyyy Jerry ;-) )

Since County is a subdivision of State, I'd expand that to elected County officials too. Then I'd run for office in a sparsely populated County.

Since taxpayers foot the bill for elected officials, I would expand it to anyone who pays property tax, sales tax, or any other tax in Texas.

Any word on how this loathsome bill turned out today in committee?
