Slug-gun question

I'm not saying he can't do whatever he wants. I just don't understand the reasoning.

I'm just trying to wrap my mind around why someone would spend all that money to make a gun that, as I see it, functions less than optimally as both a shotgun and a rifle. I'm not trying to criticize his choice, I'm just trying to understand it. Maybe it's not meant for me to understand.

Reason: I can't buy another "gun" until 2012, regardless of the cost difference. Parts are parts, but anything with a serial # on it is off the table.

And for ballistics, the Hornady SST slug is a 300gr sabot-slug at 2000fps is within a stones throw of the 180gr hornady load for 30-06.

Plus with the rifled barrel and the hornady superformance buckshot, I have a TRUE scattergun

Right. You're never going to get the same range or accuracy at distance out of a slug gun. If all you're doing is running inside 100y, than I'm sure it's quite adequate.
