Students defend male classmate - who wears heels to school
I'm not quite sure what to make of this story....
On one hand I applaud the student for standing up for what they believe in and sticking up for their classmate but on the other hand I am shocked that the ISD is either defenseless or chooses to be defenseless at the idea of a cross dressing day and a boy wearing his girlfriends dress to his classes.
Those kind of actions seem a little too much like the students are just doing it to defy and frustrate the faculty knowing that they won't be able to do anything about it without being criticized or called out for violating some type of personal rights more than trying to take a stand for something they actually believe in.
Am I way off on this or what?

That's probably a good idea. The student who wore the heels to class did not want to be identified.
I have no idea what to make of this. When I went to high school we had dress codes and boys couldn't have long hair or they would be sent home. Of course, in college if you didn't have long hair you weren't "hip". In fact, they called you "straight", which had a different meaning back then.

Since when is wearing high heels and defying legitimate authority a part of one's sexuality? This is a ridiculous stunt. If I were transexual, I would be offended.

Defying authority and acting outrageous are healthy parts of being young.
OTOH my wife tells me that wearing high heels is bad for one's posture, back, and feet - and should be avoided.

We actually had a day where we dressed as girls and came to school. It was for the Powder Puff football game where the girls played flag football and the guys were the cheerleaders. And, I will tell you the heels are VERY uncomfortable and not sure how the heck you women put up with the pain! Must be something like how you deal with the pain of childbirth.

Same!
Plus...I'm old enough to be an I.C.M. and get away with it.

Somewhere along the way in America (from the mid '60's until now), the idea that EVERYTHING is O.K. "it's just different", has been accepted by the populace. Big mistake!

Girls have been wearing "boy" clothing for a long time. If the school doesn't ban that, how can they ban the reverse without violating sexual discrimination laws?
P.S. Were the heels on his shoes higher than the heels on some mens' cowboy boots?

Doesn't matter, I make one ugly woman so no one would believe the pictures were real anyway.

I just go by Red Green's motto: 'If the women don't find you attractive, they should at least find you handy.'
