Uh...I grew up in a fairly Mexican family and have beat my share of pinatas, yet I am not a deranged sociopath. I have also yet to be shown the correlation between beating a pinata at a kid's party and sociopathic behavior. Of course, the Brady folks probably could whip one up for me.

Cause = Beating PiñatasTexas Size 11 wrote:Uh...I grew up in a fairly Mexican family and have beat my share of pinatas, yet I am not a deranged sociopath. Effect = Being a gun owner
Beating piñatas as a kid results on people being gun owners as adults. Oh the humanity.

. . . rode bicycles without helmets, rode in the back of pickups, sometimes standing up, sat in a boat and fished while not wearing life jackets, climbed things they should not have been climbing without any sort of safety gear, etc. It's amazing that anyone survived.Thomas wrote:Oh Gawd...![]()
Let's see... My parents lived with asbestos, lead paint, real piñatas, played with mercury, and a dozen other things now deemed "dangerous". They are still alive and productive members of society (unless it's all been a dream because I've been sniffing model glue).

Oh I've done that! It's fun trying to keep my balance against all the lateral forces when the driver decided that he really really needs to be going left RIGHT NOW... Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that I rather quickly sat down. It was still fun though.mgood wrote:without helmets, rode in the back of pickups [...] standing up
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

It would be like sniper training for kids. Let's see how many eggs you can hit from one spot on the back porch.Shoot Straight wrote:Like the door gunner in FMJ said, "Easy! You just don't lead 'em so much!"Beiruty wrote:What do they think of shooting firearms at age of 8-9?
That reminds me. Does anyone else think an Easter egg shoot would be more fun than Easter egg hide-and-seek?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.
