Where to find place settings for 200ish

Post by gigag04 »

Looking for plates, flatware, napkins, and glassware for about 200 people. We are considering various caterers and I think we can save if we come up with place settings on our own. I'd love to find like a used restaurant setup that I could just buy from a liquidation sale.

Great deals on rentals (brazos valley) or some other great ideas on finding good used stuff appreciated.

...look into renting them from a large church...you might be surprised at how cheaply you could get them...

The reception location often provides that as well if you're not using your own property. Those who use their own property typically use a party rental company that provides the tables, chairs, linens, place settings, everything all in one package.

What kind of reception are you going to have? If it is country-casual/afternoon you could look into making a deal with flea markets or antique shops which often have a large supply of mis-matched place settings.

I'm pretty sure you know more than 20 people. You know all of us, right?
You just wouldn't invite us all over for dinner. ;-)

Are you are going to have the reception at a private residence? Most caterers that I know will provide these types of items. At an extra fee of course.

Oh! The Passport book might be a place to check for coupons. And, obviously, wedding boards. There are men on them, too. And they know allllllll the ins and outs on stuff like that.
