My name came about because I at one time wanted to teach music...then I realized I didn't like performing solo in front of crowds. That was a game changer. And Branson is my last name.

I used to play a game called warhammer 40,000. I've used this username for a long time so I just keep using it so I don't forget it.

Rooster is actually my road name, given to me after I hit a live rooster in the road quite a few years ago during a poker run. Feathers everywhere. Had the nickname for about a month before I hit a deer in the road on my bike, too. The guys wanted to change my nick to "Roadkill" at that point, but I'd already sewn the "Rooster" name tag to my ride vest.

I started using "Dead Rooster" on a lot of message boards, because Rooster was typically already taken.

Litespeedrider comes from my favorite bike that is made by Litespeed and the model is Vortex, made from 6-4 titanium. I have put many a mile and many a bike race on this bike.

Wow, that brings back some memories. I had not thought of Hodakas in years. I never had one, but I did lose a few races to them way back when.

In 2005 I became an avid photographer, and adopted "rp_photo" as an online alias.

I'm still avid, but share the passion with a newer hobby ;-)

I do a lot of photography at various outdoor locations, usually accompanied with expensive equipment and a human model, so having a CHL and EDC fits in well.

Mine was G192627 because of the Glocks I was carrying at the time I registered here...

Then, I realized I hated it, and switched to "Scott in Houston".
Because, well, my name is Scott, and um, I live in... um, Houston.
(It's also the name I use on all the car forums I participate on)
