We the people
Watership Down is an interesting movie. It brings up the question of freedom vs slavery. What would you choose? Freedom with danger or slavery with safety? It would seem that the American people want slavery with safety. We would rather be herded and groped at the airport, we would rather allow our public servants to tell what we can and can't do so we can be free of danger. It would seem that we would rather give up our freedom and live in a cage so long as the food and water was delivered for us. Stop and think about how much blood was spilt for this country and for the constitution, for our freedoms. Our public servants have become our masters because we have let them. The power does not lie with our public servants, the power belongs to us.. "we the people". Now is the time to put your cell phones down, turn off the tv and start living life with all the dangers that come with it. You may live long life or you may live a short life, it doesn't matter as long as you live a free life. Get out of the cage and remind the publc servants that they are not your masters. Don't let them create laws that are unconstitutional and reduce your liberty. They think that they know whats best for you, but maybe its whats best for them. Remember, our freedom was bought with the blood of those before us. Don't waste it. Step out of the fog and face life head on with all the dangers and all the wonders. Those responseable for 911 and those who support them see victory when we cower and submit. Lets show them that we would rather die on our feet than live on our knees.

Passionate post, I see that you are fairly new here. I'm not disagreeing with anything you say and in fact we are on the same page.

What do you propose? They don't listen. They could care less what you think or how you vote.Get out of the cage and remind the publc servants that they are not your masters.
How do you propose we stop them? There are so many unconstitutional laws on the books now that they ignore. Creating new ones are child's play.Don't let them create laws that are unconstitutional and reduce your liberty.
How? What do you propose?Lets show them that we would rather die on our feet than live on our knees.

Re: We the people
The thing they fear the most is an informed and educated population, those who are not asleep. So the question is how do you wake the people up? That burden falls on us and with the fog being so thick already, its a heavy burden indeed. There are different directions to go and different levels to those directions. One thing that I did as a father was to homeschool my children. They learned the real and true history of their country. They learned to think for themselves. They learned right from wrong. So we need to start at home with our children as they are the future. So much is not being taught in our public schools. Is homeschooling a drastic measure? Maybe for some, but my experience showed that it was worth it. So I would say that we need to help our kids by raising them with less electronics and more human interaction. Also being an example to them.
So what about the general population? You have to start somewhere and the first thing to do is organize. Don't worry about the little differences between us, just focus on our one mindedness when it comes to freedom, liberty and the constitution. Don't waver from that. There is strength in numbers. Remember what happened just after 911? The American people came together as a whole, so we need to see all the unconstitutional measures taken against us as little 911s. We need to use all legal means to inform people. We need to go to where they are which to me means tv. Tv and youtube videos are strong carriers of the message. One thing that helped me to see our condition was watching youtube and all the things going on in this country.
Call our public servants to account for their actions. Wake them up to the fact that we are waking up. And that we demand they abide by their oaths. Again, strength in numbers. It can only happen if we come together and show them we mean business.
One of our biggest threats, I believe, is all the people coming in from other countries. They don't know and understand our history. They just bring with them the philosophy of their countries and that is slowly diluting our American culture and character. So again, we need to use legal means to let our public servants know we expect them to protect our borders and maybe even limit immigration all together.
With this whole thing, it can only happen with an informed, organized, and willing majority. Together we conquer, alone we fall. I do think that the system is its own worst ememy. When people see what is happening and what the system is trying to get away with, they only expose themselves and if we, as a whole ,do our part of educating the people, they will bring themselves down.
We could all start by doing a mass mailing to our office holders. Everyone from the sheriff, congress, senate, etc., and let them know where we stand. Also a mass phone calling of them as well.
For some these things would be a major effort, but that is part of the adventure. We owe it to those who have gone before us and we owe it to those who will continue after we are gone. Freedom and liberty is worth getting out of the cage and fog for.
