USA1 is going to be proud of me

Post by pbwalker »

Yeah, I knew I couldn't avoid getting bit by the 1911 bug again...I sold my Govt model a year ago, but wished I didn't. So I got myself a present. I'm still a Glock guy, but I should own a piece of history, so I went with a 1911.

No pics yet...typing this on an iPad.

Springfield GI Micro...all internals are Ed Brown...only thing remaining, that is still Springer, is the frame and slide.

So...for mags, I've got a Wilson and a Standard issue GI mag. Looking to pick up a dozen more or so. Stick with Wilson, or should I check out some Chip's?

Might check out these after reading what AndyC posted a while back:

Actually, I've been wanting to get one. Just feels weird saying it out loud.

This isn't the first time he's said that either. He must be in much pain, although in my experience the pain actually starts when you buy the Glock and discover how sad Gen4s can be.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Tripp it is...maybe I'll just start with 6 though. They are kind of expensive.

Thanks TAM and Gigag. :thumbs2:

USA1 - When you get your Glock, we will need to have a forum celebration. You could even bring out your Kimber as a sort of "before" picture. ;-)

USA1:

I guess you are considering a Glock since you may not be into tattoos,
but maybe a .40 slug in the leg (Glockleg) could qualify as a cool body piercing? :-)

Wow - you've got a Kimber but are considering a Glock. I will pray for your soul. :-)
