Mavs :)

Post by snatchel »

Go Mavs! It was nice seeing Westbrook from OKC hike back to the locker room after his diva antics... Can't stand the guy. Dirk and Marion played VERY well. I'm glad to see them going to the finals again. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHOOO

Hope it turns out better than in 2006. This die-hard Spurs fan will be rooting for them, being a Texas team.

I'm a Spurs fan too.... but since my boys didn't make it too well this season, I'll root for the other Texas team as well. Honestly though, I really do love some of the Mavs players though.

I want Kidd to win one.

I don't like Barea (seems like he has a chip on his shoulder) or Nowitski (Eurotrash). And Cuban can just go jump in the Riverwalk.

I like the rest of the team. But, since the best NBA team in Texas can't be there, I'll go for the Mavs!!

You've got to be kidding. JJ and Dirk both have been great this series. Collison has mugged Dirk so bad in the last few games he
should have been arrested, still couldn't stop Dirk. JJ has been a spark off the bench that has no fear going in the paint against much bigger players.
Mavs have all responded with hot hands to win.... scared me to death the last 2 games but managed to pull them out. Better depth in bench
strength than most other NBA teams. Mavs vs Heat ? I think so.

Mavs Vs. Heat, I believe so too! JJ has been spot on, and your right, seeing the little guy (relatively speaking) move into the paint is awesome. He makes up for his hight and not being able to shoot over inside the paint like the others by making fantastic assists. Dirk is great too, Eurotrash or not I'm happy to see him on our team. I understand the whole backside of recruiting out of the US, but in this day and age it really doesn't matter anymore. As for Barea's chip....he is Puerto Rican, so I mark it up to "swagg." LoL. I dunno, after dealing with superstar atheletes like TO, Rodman, ____fill in the blank___, folks like Barea are fairly tolerable.

P.S. " TAKE DAT WITCHUUUUUU" hahaha. Anyone else know what I'm talking about. If you dont, youtube "Take Dat Witchuu". At the range today, I scored better than my brother in law and I couldn't help but yell "take dat witchuuu" in his face.

I didn't say they weren't good. They are very good, and a big reason why they've gotten this far. I just said I didn't like them.

After the "TAKE DAT WITCHUUU", I expected Dirk to say "We're gonna pump....YOU UP!!!"

Not a huge BB fan, but i will be pulling for the Mavs...not bad for Dallas sports teams. Rangers to the World Series, Mavs to the Finals, and the Soccer Club made the finals. Now, if we could just get the Stars and Cowboys on track.

Yeah, Stars haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1999, and the Cowboys haven't been to a SB in even longer.

Maybe this is their decade.

It is a good time to be a sports fan in North Texas. A lot better than your brothers down south on 45! It would be great to have a team from Texas beat the teams from Hollywood and South Beach in the same playoff run. Good Luck Mavs!

You, sir, are dead to me. Although I'm not really surprised about this from someone who obviously doesn't know anything about this team, about where they came from (before 2006), about the way Cuban has made this TEAM better, this FRANCHISE better, and this SPORT better, but hey, who's counting.

Barea may HAVE a chip on his shoulder, probably from being told his whole life, dude, you're too short. But he's tough, he can single handedly change a game with his play, and he has a level of toughness this team needs.

To call Dirk EuroTrash is about as racist a comment can be, without actually being blatant about it. He is so far removed from the stigma of "The Fragile European." He's worked on his inside game as evidenced here:

I'll let the vid speak for itself.

As for the referenced Take Dat Wit Chew, well, enjoy.

eurotrash.... :grumble
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

Not that it matters, but Dirk became a naturalized citizen last year.
