Comin home for a bit.

Post by DONT TREAD ON ME »

I have been in Korea for the past year and I am coming home in July to visit with the wife. I am wondering if there have been any changes to the laws that govern CHL and guns in general? As you can see I am very far out of the loop.

The "employer parking lot" bill appears to be on its way to passage—a bill which would allow anyone lawfully in possession of a handgun in their car to store that firearm in their vehicle in the company parking lot during work hours. This would override company "no gun" policies. The bill has been sent to Gov. Perry's desk for signing.

"Campus Carry" failed.

I think those are the only two that would have been directly related to CHL.

Thanks for your service, brother. :patriot:

Enjoy your leave.

There is also a bill in the works to allow licensed possession of firearms on Army Corps of Engineers lands and water. This is an extension of the National Park legislation passed recently. It is not law yet, but MAY be by he time the second half of your tour is over. :tiphat:

Thanks all. I will be enjoying every minute of my leave. I will finally get to carry my 1911 again. Most importantly I get to see my beautiful wife and we are going to start working on adding to the family!

Bronco,

That is where I requested to go. I called up branch 1.5 years ago and told them to either put me on a tasking or PCS me to a unit that is going to Afghanistan. I was told "No problem at all!" 2 days later they put me on orders to Korea :mad5 :mad5 :mad5
