You want one that actually shoots every time you pull the trigger for under 200.00? ;-)

You might want to take a look at Hi Point pistols (http://www.hi-pointfirearms.com/). They're around $200 brand new. They're not pretty, but I've been told they're pretty reliable.

Perhaps something from Hi-Point? I have a .380 from Hi-Point. It was included in part of a deal when a car was purchased from me. I have never fired it though so I have no report to give. From what I know, they have models going for under $200 new.

Edit:
Wow. I just finished my post and there was yours. Sorry for the double post.

Haha, Keltec has some used pistols for about my price range. I would be interested in one of those if anyone has a used one.

If you can find a Kel-Tec for under $200, snag it. I just got a great deal on one for $250 and I'm very pleased with it for a pocket gun.

Just throwing this out there:

There are quite a few used S&W autos like the 5906 that are going for a fair price. More than you were asking but if you're an NRA member, the firearm insurance should also cover you if your car is stolen.

I shot a HiPoint .45 the other day that wasn't good for anything other than "Tap Rack Bang" Drills. It jammed every other round. (or every third round at best)
Would not recommend anything from Hi Point based on my experiences with them.

I have a Kel-Tec P3AT .380 that I was going to post for sale. No more than 50 rounds through it. $200 takes it. Price includes 1 original magazine, and the plastic case. I'm in Grapevine.

Heck, I'll even throw in a box of ammo.

Just found 2 used P-11s at the bullet trap. Blued for $195 and stainless with a belt clip for $215. I may go with one of those, but I will have to liquidate an item for the cash first. Anyone want to buy a slightly used fender squier strat electric guitar with elixir strings? Of course I would love to deal with any forum members before I would deal with bullet trap, and I could save 8.25%! Anyone?
TAM- thanks for the offer, already have two .380s and would like to avoid investing any more money in .380 guns or ammo

Not a problem dude. I'm trying to get out from under them myself.

I have a Hi Point C9 that shoots great for $100 only selling it to help fund my new 1911. 8+1 of 9mm I've carried it and now its my truck gun. I trust my life with it.
Its in great shape And has a life time warranty to anyone. if you need any part(minus frame/slide/barrel) just call them up and they will ship it to you for free. or you can ship it to them and they will rebuild it if one of those three go bad or you just want too.

Someone on another thread posted that he picked up a Rossi revolver, .38 Special, for $250 brand new at Academy.

http://www.budsgunshop.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has brand new Taurus snubbies, chambered in .38 Special, 6 rounds, for $280 brand new.

See it at this link.

Yes, it's more than $200 but you get a brand new gun that you can treat right from the start.

So many options.... but you only need one gun to put in the car. Let us know what you finally get.
