The last two times we went to the Edwards show, we got searched. Everybody got searched. Those were also the first two shows after they resumed post 9/11. For a year or two there, they weren't having airshows at Edwards.

I went pre 9/11 for the 50th anniversary of chuck Yeager breaking the sound barrier. No search whatsoever. They opened the show with Gen. Yeager doing a MACHII fly  over.

Best Airshow I have ever been to!!!

I was at that show! He did the flyover and sonic boom just as we arrived on the flightline.

No. I had three small children with me and was in a friend's car. I didn't know if they will stop me and then I'll have to walk all the way back to the car to leave the gun in it.

BTW, it was so windy we gave up after an hour.

But, did they stop and search people?

Nope. Not at all. Just a sign saying "No Guns".
