Looks like Rep. Paul is retiring, with some of his statements in the past couple months I think many are happy he is not running again.

Good riddance. Now let's see who/what are the lesser of the several evils who are sure to be running for his well paid and benefits galore seat.

Paul is one of the few truth speakers IMHO. He will be missed.

He may be crazy as a loon but I gotta say I sure do love his voting record. :patriot:

He was about to get screwed by the redistricting. They were going to basically delete his seat and mix it up with others so he would be guaranteed to lose. It's no secret that he didn't have many friends among more mainstream republicans, especially around Texas. Up until now, he was basically unbeatable come election time because his district liked him so much.

Better to leave on a high note than on a low one.

Name a more pro gun and pro FREEDOM politician...

I think some people talk about wanting unadulterated freedom but when it comes down to it, people want Big Brother to tell us what we can and cannot do in the privacy of our own homes.

I used to think he was crazy too until I read his books and reread the Constitution instead of reading Fox News.
