WTT Motorcycle for guns plus cash

Post by uthornsfan »

I have a 1997 YZF750R with ~15K miles on it forsale. Would be interested in trading for guns plus cash. I am a Valid TX CHL holder.

I am located in Leander TX

Most everything has been done to this bike and it is ready to ride.

1997 YZF750R with 15355 miles

Title in hand

Willing to trade your gun/guns plus cash for my bike. Interested in Saiga 308, AR15 and AR10 platforms, DPMS and other 308 Semi Autos. I have my TX CHL

As the Ad Title states all these items are new.
Paint
Windscreen
Brakes
Chain and Sprockets
Tires
Levers
Jet Kit
Headlights

Bike has Carbon Fiber D&D exhaust which is loud but not crazy like some D&D exhausts. Sounds perfect in my opinion. Smoked Windscreen, adjustable levers (Shorty Brake, Regular Clutch), new Avon Storm 2 tires, new DID X-Ring chain and JT Sprockets. Carbs were recently professionaly cleaned and jet kit installed.

Very nice bike. My last race-bike was a 1985 FZ750, the very first of the 5-valve "Genesis" series of motors. It was very fast, but I never did completely trust the 18" rear / 16" front combination, and despite a big fat slick on the front, it always felt a little twitchy under hard braking, and it always felt like it was about to wash out the front tire under hard turns. It never actually did so, but it felt like it, after years of racing a bike that had a 18"/18" front/rear setup (yes, I am oldschool). Some guys went out and bought sets of Dymags or some other brand of wheels in 17"/17" and had good results, but that was money I couldn't afford at the time. Or course, the YZFs started appearing with the 17s and there was joy in mudville. Sadly, I no longer lived there. I never had the chance to ride one of the YZFs, and I always thought they were beautiful machines, particularly the frames. I couldn't ride one today if I wanted to.....too much gut interfering with the gas tank, and too crippled in the back to stand the riding position. As I recall, Reggie Jackson had one of the first ones ever imported into the U.S.

The street version of the Suzuki GSXR at the time had 18"/18" tires. I used to hang out at the old Yoshimura shop in Chino 'cause I was friends with some of the guys that worked there at the time (I ran a set of Yosh high compression pistons in my old GPZ750 race bike before I got that Yamaha). As I recall, they had converted their GSXR racebikes to 17"/17" before the factory ever started selling streetbikes with those wheels.

Those were the days....
