Real World Gun match @ Dallas Pistol Club - Jul 23rd

Post by ske1eter »

Real World Gun

Real World Gun matches, in the "IDSA style", test your skills with your carry firearm in your carry holster. This tactical match mimics "the real world" so you're prepared for actual defensive situations.

Optic sights, dots, compensators, and extended magazines (must fit flush with the firearm) are not allowed.
Only 9mm caliber and larger, subject to DPC's approved caliber list, can be used in this match. Law Enforcement Officers may use their duty equipment.

Concealed cover (vest, overshirt, jacket, etc.) is not required during summer months. (May-September)

Additional Information
Both members and non-members are welcome to shoot in Real World Gun matches. However, non-members are restricted to participating in the match and will not be allowed to shoot before or after the match, unless accompanied by a member in good standing.

Scoring is a combination of raw time and penalties or procedurals. Targets are scored 5, 4, and 3 points, from the center out. A minimum of 8 points is required to neutralize a threat, unless otherwise indicated.

Penalties are 10 seconds added for each threat not neutralized and 10 seconds added for each non-threat (i.e. innocent bystander) engaged.
Procedurals are 5 seconds for each instance of failing to use cover, failing to engage threats in Tactical Order or Tactical Priority, and failing to perform reloads behind available cover.

Tactical Order: From behind cover, engaging targets as they are presented.
Tactical Priority: Without cover, engaging targets from closest to farthest.
Boarding House Rules: Each target is engaged once, near to far, before engaging again to neutralize.

Cost: $20
