Letting his supervisors know who he is and how good he treated you would go a long way. If you did not get his name, HPD cars have big gigantic numbers on the roofs or trunks and those numbers and the time of the traffic stop can be used to identify the officer and give him an attaboy. It is always nice when officers are so used to complaints and a citizen gives them a compliment.

The story continues. Tonight is 88 cent hot dogs at James Coney Island. My son invited me for dinner there. I am sitting there and I have just finished telling him the story when all is see is light blue to my right. It is the same police officer with his partner both in uniform. They have their wives with with them and a cute little daughter about 9 months old.

They were meeting them there during their dinner break. Apparently pulled up behind me in the parking lot and knew I was inside. (the car I don't drive much is unusual) He thought he would say hello and meet my son. (I blamed my son for all the problems with the stickers during the stop) So he wanted to give me a hard time.

I was not nervous this time and asked if it was the CHL that saved me the ticket. He said no, that he wrote 20 tickets that afternoon and I was the only stop he didn't write a ticket. But it wasn't the CHL. I guess it was my story blaming my son or maybe it was my great personality and good looks.

My son is going to get his CHL now.

I always put my registration sticker on upside down, my little way of protesting.

I got pulled over going down to McAllen from Houston because my tags "were about to expire". I informed the officer that I was driving down the get them updated. He just let me go and told me to have a nice day.

He also complimented my GSR.

Probably Roman toll roads are no longer toll roads since the Roman Empire became defunct, either.
As did I-30...actually it has been improved in the last few years and is nothing like the nightmare of SH 114.

He complemented your Gun Shot Residue? There MUST be more to THAT story!

He stopped you because your tags were still valid? Umm, perhaps next they will be stopping you because you are not yet speeding?

...that kind of excuse would be more suited to stopping a pretty lady...I'd really worry if he used it to stop me...especially if he wanted my phone number just in case he found my wallet someday...
