Ok, when I did my application online and submited payment I was given the option to print my "checklist" and setup for prints, after I printed my list and before I could click to setup for prints I lost internet connection
well I logged back in to the DPS website and was given the 48 hour message, e-mail shows receipt, after 48 hours the message "48 hours" dissappeared and I could see the "print checklist" feature and status "SUBMITTED", now I get only the following message and nothing else:
You are not eligible for any services at this time.
This may be due to an application in progress.
If you think this is an error,
please contact the CHL Customer Relations Center.
Also L1 is saying my TRACE number and DOB or DL and DOB does NOT match
I been trying to call either the DPS or L1 offices without luck (I get the high call volume message)
I was hoping to setup for print on friday (my only day off and Im an hour away from the nearest location)
Is this normal having to wait to setup an online appointment?
Thanks

Re: Trying to setup for prints
Same thing happened to me when I tried to schedule prints for CHL Instructor certification. Just go onto the main L-1 website and follow their generic procedure for setting up an appointment online. The procedure will prompt you for a reason for the prints and you indicate for CHL.
The DPS website will change status in 48 hours stating that they have processed your application online and are waiting on receipt of required materials.
I know... It just takes patience to get thru the process.

Re: Trying to setup for prints
Called dps dunno what happened, but they are pushing the information through... Doubt I get a Friday print date
Re: Trying to setup for prints
right after DPS I was finally able to reach someone at L1...
Seems there have been lots of people trying to register for CHL and that they have a back log, I doubt I will be able to get in this friday and lucky about next friday... they also mentioned it was NOT advisable to attemt a work around to CHL prints by selecting some other option to get in and that the issues were on the DPS end not L1 from what there Rep said
also if it is not setup before 12am CENTRAL TIME that day you got to wait till the next day
Hope this helps answers someone elses questions

Re: Trying to setup for prints
If you cannot get a Friday appointment, we are open on Saturday.
That is, if you want to drive in to Cabela's from Mineral Wells.

Re: Trying to setup for prints
I actually got a 3:30pm appt today... off I-30 and university (right before I clocked into work, trying to set it up and pay with no 3G on an Iphone SLOW, cost me my 1st break of the day but was worth getting it setup in my opinion)
I had no clue Cabelas (FT. Worth?) did prints, but my ride out that way wants to hit up Cheaper Than Dirt and Cabelas today also to look (evil stores, lol)
was just hoping I could get in sooner since Im leaving out about noon
Long shot, but any idea if I got there at 1pm with a 330pm appt if I could just get it done and over with sooner?
thanks
Next step, more practice with my Glock 22 and get ready to pay for class (according to the scoring system Id hit about 249, last practice landed one on the #8 line)
