Cardiologist or Interventional Cardiologist

If this is permissible......

I had a 10:40 appointment with my cardiologist this morning. The waiting room was so full that several people were standing. I checked in at 10:26. At 11:15 I went to the desk to get an estimate of how much longer I would have to wait. After ignoring me for several minutes, she finally looked up and I advised her that it was more than 30 minutes past my appointment time and could she provide an estimate of when I could expect to get in. She disappeared for several minutes. When she came back, she said there were five people in front of me (still in the waiting room) and two people in exam rooms waiting and he had just started seeing a patient. So I say, "What does that mean?" She disappeared again. When she came back, she provided and estimated time of "getting in" to be 1:15-1:30. So I gotta ask, "Did Dr. XXXX have an emergency this morning?" "No", I was told.

I need a recommendation for a cardiologist in/around Methodist Hospital on Colorado in Dallas, one that keeps some semblance of a schedule.

I was referred to Dr. Feingold via my primary care doc.
Dr. Feingold was able to fit me in for some tests on the same day I called (non emergency) and I spent maybe 20 minutes total waiting around before and between tests. He came highly recommended and my brief experience with him was very positive.

I also expect my doctors to remember they are in a service business. I always call right before I head out for appointments. I'm happy to keep working (or whatever) if the Doc is running late. I despise having my time wasted. I've fired several Docs for wasting my time.

Too bad you are not in Houston. I could hook you up with the head of Cardiology at St. Lukes. Takes a few days to get in to see him, but the waiting room is never crowded and he runs close to your scheduled time.

Good luck with your search. If you have a General Practitioner ask him and explain why you are searching.

I have fired several doctors in the past simply because my time is as valuable as their own is...

My doctor seems to value my time more than his. I've shown up as much as fifteen minutes late, and they've only asked me to reschedule once... when something came up and I couldn't make it until thirty minutes after my appointment. However, as far as I know he's just a general practitioner, not a cardiologist.
