Case Dent Question

Post by steelhawk »

When I have accidently got lube on the neck and dented the case while resizing, I have always discarded the brass. It doesn't happen often, but I was reloading .243 today and came across a few from last year in a jar, and wondered if I loaded them up, would shooting them push out the dents.

Yes it will. If the dent is just in the shoulder should be no problem. If it is in the body reduce your charge to a starting charge to prevent over pressure.
