I was fishing the Packery Channel the last couple of days. I was armed and just now, while surfin the net, found reference to it being USACE. Was i in violation or is it just the actual channel?
How lame, i wish they would hurry and make these areas CC :(

County Park?
USACE may control water flow or issue permits for building boat docks etc ... doesn't mean they "own" it
got link where t says usace anywhere?
Possible
check Galveston usace http://www.swg.usace.army.mil/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't see anywhere that they own it, but they issue permits for dredging, marinas etc like they do everywhere .... County Park I"d have to see who owned the land or who it's leased from... County is a subdivision of the State.

CORPUS CHRISTI — The city legally can alter plans to improve Packery Channel, but council members may face political pressure over those decisions, an assistant city attorney said Tuesday.
