Houston Storms

We got five to ten minutes of rain at my house... and nearly an hour without power. :totap:

On the plus side, I got to meet some new neighbors while scoping the extent of the outage.

What did y'all do when the internet wasn't working at home? ;-)

I ran for cover because I thought the sky was falling.

We got hammered up here, not sure yet exactly how long or how much rain we got since I was driving home for part of it. But it was obvious that it brought out the, umm, less than smart in some people on the road, and there was a whole lot of water collecting in drainage ditches on the road and behind the house. It was an oh-so beautiful sight to see.

We got exactly 0.00" of rain down here in Alvin. You know it's getting bad whent there's a Cat3 Hurricane bearing down on the East Coast and I'm just jealous that they are going to get the rain.

We got a bit of rain last night in Richmond and quite a neat lightning storm out of it. Was hoping we'd get more rain.

we're finally getting a couple teeny tiny thunder storms up here in Dallas. nothing severe though, more like some light spittle from the sky with some thunder.
From what I'm seeing right now it looks like there are lots more storms on their way to Houston right now. Good luck!

We got a good down-pour last night preceded by some fierce winds. It's still raining this morning. No power outage in my area, but if it was out, I've got my handy dandy smart phone to stay online with.

Heard some thunder but not a drop of rain has fallen. I just keep waiting.

It has been raining off and on this morning here in Grapevine.

I bought two soaker hoses yesterday. I guess I should have bought them months ago. Washing the car just does'nt do it anymore.

I was at my sisters house when we noticed the dark clouds rolling overhead. Then her neighbor came running outside and started washing his car, said it was the obvious hope that as soon as he washed his car it would pour down. Nice try but they hardly got a drop. :banghead:

Hmm, we got a little in my part of Alvin. I emptied the rain gauge yesterday morning (from watering lol). When we got home it was about 2.5 inches. Course the ground didn't seem that wet - maybe the cat pee'd in it.
