A "shout out" to AndyC

Post by v-rog »

I want to publically acknowledge and thank AndyC for taking time to teach me "hands on" reloading basics. He answered my initial questions (around 100 or so) and then we reloaded 49- .45 ACP rounds. It would have been 50 rounds but I was talking with my hands and spilled powder from a case. I even got to try and fit a small pistol primer in a smaller .45 primer pocket casing hole but I just couldn't get it to work...Andy can probably describe it better  .

Good conversation, good coffee- Thanks, Andy.

My reloading equipment should arrive today and I'll probably have about 100 additional questions, but I will not be totally clueless.

I don't know much about reloading but I do know this...if there's anything you need to know about a 1911, Andy is the man to go to.

...just don't ask him about Glocks. :biggrinjester:

Thank God! I've had my fingers crossed for days hoping that the ammo would not blow up your .45! :smilelol5:

My equipment arrived last night and I set it up. I ran the empties through the tumbler and I'll probably try to load today (beginning with the 9mms).

I've gone to 12-15 tire shops and I only walked away with one handful of used wheel weights. Most of the shops said they cannot give or sell the weights due to environmental laws. (I've thought to myself- Heck, I've been shot at multiple times and nearly blown-up a handful of times...I take my chances on a little lead  )

Thanks for the ammo you made - that was part of the stash I took to the range yesterday to try out various options for the "gunslinger" trial, and they all worked perfectly - you did a good job :cheers2:
