TexasIDPA.com Forum Re-opened
The forum section of TexasIDPA.com has reopened as of January 20, 2007. If your club would like to have a sub-forum, just send me an email with the name of the moderator(s) that will monitor your site. That person will have to register and give me their user name so I can set them up as a moderator.
The decision to close the forum was based upon a continuing barrage of bogus registrations that link to porn web sites, or on-line "pharmacies." Thanks to the folks at phpbb, I have found a modification that has worked quite well here on TexasCHLforum.com and it has been installed on TexasIDPA.com as well. So, with the greatly reduced "maintenance" requirement, the forum is again available so please make use of it.
If your club would like to be listed in the Clubs & Contacts section of TexasIDPA.com , please send an email with the website address (if any), as well as a club contact person and email address. Phone numbers can also be listed.
Regards, Chas.

Yeah, I need to get a graphics program, learn how to use it, and do something. I have one on the PSC-IDPA website, but it was just a place-holder and I really don't like it. I may stick it on there just to get away from the default phpbb logo.AggieMM wrote:Thanks Charles, just joined there as well.

P.S. - But you need to change the main forums graphic from the default one to a cool Texas IDPA graphic.....
I really like the Texas Ranger badge format, but Gary Burris uses that on TacticalShooters.com and I don't want to copy his.

I'd be happy to tinker a bit and send you a couple of possibilities, if you want.Charles L. Cotton wrote:Yeah, I need to get a graphics program, learn how to use it, and do something. How about something simple? It doesn't even have to have guns on it.
I just made this. Of course it can be resized, font changed etc.

I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

E-gads!!!!!!! You put the Glock over here in East Texas. Quick, move it, before LT sees it also.

Keep the 1911, yes, but you need to change the Glock to a wheel-gun.
That way, you're illustrating the all-inclusiveness of defensive handgunning. (i.e. wheelguns aren't just for cowboy-action shooting.)

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me
