My wife's a pretty fine rifle shot, and this rifle was built for her by a Sheriff's Dept. armorer. He built it from the ground up to be a 200-300 meter tackdriver in the hands of a capable marksman.
Starting on a Vulcan lower with a flat-top upper, the rifle is TIGHT...no rattles. Standard stock, 20" match-grade barrel, UTG quad-rail forearm. Harris bipod. Chambered for the higher pressure 5.56NATO rounds.
This is NOT a lightweight battle carbine you'll want to carry around on a sling. Dry weight is 12.3 pounds. That weight combined with the Bushmaster-Y compensator makes recoil almost non-existent. If the crosshairs move off target, you moved the rifle, it's that simple.
The match-grade McCormick trigger group breaks crisp and clean at 3.5 pounds with no creep and zero overtravel. The oversized charging handle means the Leapers 3x9 illuminated red/green reticle rubber-armored scope won't get in the way.
Never fired with anything but new factory ammo, no Wolf, no lacquered steel casing junk, mostly S&B, Lake City and Remington loads. Approximately 500 rounds through it with never a malfunction. The little brass presentation plaque on the side will come off and clean up easily enough with a little solvent.
At least three magazines also included, maybe more, have to see how many I have left. I'll also throw in a UTG rail-mountable foregrip with battery compartment and pressure switch housing that's never been installed.
