Buffalo Wild Wings

Post by Snap E Tom »

Not sure where in Texas this is, but a member of another forum I visit took a picture of this at his local BWW:

A member of another forum sent them a comment through their website and got this back:
"Buffalo Wild Wings respects the right of individuals to carry firearms but we do not believe they are appropriate inside of a public restaurant. We are focused on the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all of our guests and have elected to exercise our right to restrict the carrying of firearms in our restaurants. We regret any inconvenience this may cause but believe that this policy is in the best interest of all of our guests and our Team Members."

Guess I won't be a guest there.

There, I fixed it. ;-)

And I just go right on by if I want to eat there since that doesn't apply to me as a CHL.

.... and in what way does creating (and announcing) their "gun free zone" contribute to increasing my safety?

Agreed.
I'm not much on their food anyways. I much prefer Hooters or WingStop.
If I ever go to BWW its simply for the great selection of brews and happy hours in which case I'm not carrying anyways so its really a non-issue for me.

With all due respect, the member of the other forum is an unmitigated fool. Why even give them any kind of hint that maybe their sign should be revisited because it doesn't apply to CHL? Sometimes, educating the ignorant is the worst thing you can do. The sign does not apply to CHLs. Ignore it, shut up about it, and carry anyway.

Now, thanks to his letter, there is a risk that management will take a look at their signage and decide that they need to post 30.06 signs. If they do that, tell your buddy thanks for the rest of us.

We can only hope the comment strictly addressed the unsafe and easy-target environment these signs promote to criminals and not that it was legally invalid to prohibit CHL carry.

There sign isn't very effective. The last two times I've been there I've seen uniformed LEO's carrying handguns. It's a miracle that no one was injured by those unsafe guns that BWW is trying to ban.

Of course, the sign also banned the 2 handguns I was carrying. Then again, I only carry safe guns, so there was no undue risk for any of the BWW patrons or staff.

There are several things I can't abide and "unmitigated fools" are way up on the list. I don't care much for Buffalo Wild Wings either.
