...Finally Submitted...The Wait Begins...

Post by knljr »

I finally got all my paperwork together and will be heading to the post office first thing in the AM to send via certified mail. I live in Austin, so my guess is that someone should get it and have it open by mid/late next week.

It took me a little longer because I had to get a couple dispositions from a few indiscretions of my youth some 20 years ago. I'd imagine my process is going to take a little longer because of that - but hoping to get my plastic by the end of the year.

My intention is to check the site for a couple weeks to make sure they get the packet and that it moves through the first couple phases. Then I'm just going to quit checking for a month or so to keep myself from going crazy.

Welcome to "the wait". I am in Austin as well and my online status took a week after DPS receiving it to update. I had a class B five years ago myself, here's hoping that anything on record in Travis county will process through quickly.

Congrats!

Knowing they have everything they need and are working on it is a good feeling. Not as good as having your license but better than wondering if it all went through correctly.
