Sig 22 LR Magazine Capacity

Sig 22 LR Magazine Capacity
It looks like Sig only makes 10 round capacity magazines for all of their 22 LR magazines. I'm not having much luck finding magazines for a Sig P226 with a capacity greater than 10. I think there would be enough room to make a 20 round magazine that sits flush with the bottom of the handgun. Any advice?

Where rimmed cartridges and box magazines are concerned, single stack magazines are usually the way to go. They are less finicky and you don't run the risk of mis-loading with a rim where it shouldn't be which will cause a stoppage. This is why most .22LR pistol magazines are either ten or twelve round single-stack magazines. A double-stack, staggered magazine can be made but it is simply less reliable and more prone to user error.

The only "double-stack" rimfire magazine I've seen that actually works is the one for the S&W M&P 15-22. It isn't a 'real' doublestack Mag, but more of a slightly staggered single stack. There's a special loading procedure for it, too. I'm assuming that the KEL-TEC PMR-30 has a doublestack mag, too, since it holds 30 in the mag., but I have no experience with it.
You'd think that if they can make it work for WMR, they could adapt it for LR, too. But maybe the power factor limits that.

I've been pleased with this follower in my P226. It allows the magazine to hold 12 rounds, and it holds the slide back after the last shot.
