Battle of the bands

Post by RPB »

My niece

They won a competition last weekend in Gatesville Marching Festival,

VIDEO HERE (they are good, it's worth watching) http://www.statesman.com/news/burnet-hi ... _frontpage" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
2010-11 Marching Band Awards
The group is made up of the Burnet High School Bulldog Band and the Burnet High School Highlandettes. Together they are known as the Esprit de Corps. The group recently competed at the Gatesville Marching Festival on October 15 where they earned first place in class 3A and won every caption including outstanding auxiliary, outstanding percussion, outstanding marching performance and outstanding music performance as well as grand champion.

If you have an AustinamericanStatesman account, please vote for her performance last night here

Vote for Burnet, (unless you are from Taylor, in which case, vote for Burnet anyway)

And, They are competing again today in Giddings TX.

(This has been an unpaid announcement, because I told my niece I would) ;-)

It's worth watching IMHO.

One of my granddaughters goes to Burnet. As a result, my grandkids & ex-wife have been warting me about this with text messages since yesterday. :lol:

I just got a text that Burnet is in the lead, 270 to 28. :mrgreen:

305 to 33 now ... but each person is allowed to vote 5 times per day ...

My niece plays Saxophone; got home from last night's game after midnight, I got to sleep at 2:30 a.m. and about 6 her friends started calling to wake her up and got her up to go compete in Giddings today.
I often get to sit in the Parking lot ... Band director works them hard :mrgreen:

PS. the allowed to vote 5 times a day ... can be one right after another, doesn't take long.
309 to 33 now :thumbs2:
Vote: You've reached your max votes for this day
