WTT/WTS S&W AR15 & extras for a Ruger mini 14-DFW

This pic is a bit old, the pictinny raised rail is gone. The front cover of the nice rubberized scope is missing and I had trouble taking off the old pictinny rail so there's a small cut on the side but you can't see it since the scope covers it up. Besides that, it's a flawless 1 year old S&W AR15 that has no FTF to its credit. I have 4-5 magazines (including some awesome magpul mags), and a front sight built in. (No rear sight). It has a flashlight with rings but I can't find the screw that goes in the ring but it's a snug fit and a VERY bright flashlight. I will also throw in some special .223 tracer rounds and a ciener .22 conversion kit which can turn the .223 into a .22 in 10 seconds and also have a .22 banana clip that also works well. I'll add 3 bricks of .22 ammo and 1 small box of .22 tracer rounds and a box of rat shot rounds.

I would prefer a trade for a like-new (see model numbers below) Ruger mini-14 hardwood ranch rifle that shoots .223/.556 since I have a lot of that ammo. The gun MUST be fairly new condition as is mine. I have sold guns in the past with great success using this great forum. I require the buyer to show their CHL. PM me for more pictures and I look forward to hearing back so we can come to a fair trade for I would most likely need some cash on top of what I offer.

Ranch rifle will have serial numbers:
580-32382 2007
580-50951 2008
* 580-76276 and 581-00000 2009
* 581-48753 2010
* 581-71056 2011

I can meet Thursday (tomorrow!). Thanks for checking it out. If I have to sell it I'd sell for $950 firm including all the goodies listed.

Just curious.....

Many would consider going from an AR to a Mini-14 to be a downgrade. Why are you wanting to do this?

What type of cash difference are you expecting on top of the mini-14?

@annoyed - good question. As a world war 2 buff I love the style of the old school guns better, it's that simple, this is an awesome gun I'm selling. Some may consider it a downgrade but I don't see it that way. I've had fun with the AR but I've always wanted the M2 Carbine like a WW2 paratrooper might use or a Marine in the Pacific theater but prefer the .223 ammo that the mini 14 can handle.

@dave - It would depend on seeing some pics and knowing some more info about ruger mini 14. Just pm for more info. Thanks for the inquiry.

I forgot to add that the scope has a built in lazer and lighted cross hairs.

Looks like I may be too late....

My Mini-14 is like new, 50 rounds fired total. Stainless with wood furniture in excellent condition, has an intensity scope mounted with ruger stainless mounts, 3-10x44. I also found a GI sling for it.

It's the middle one in this picture:

I'll respect the other prospective buyer and back off. If that does not materialize, holler back at me. I'm in Abilene, could meet you half way anytime.... one of the perks of being retired, LOL !

I didn't explain myself well... I meant to say that once there is a firm offer, I will tell everyone that this thread is "pending sale." I'll text you my information and we'll go from there, thanks! Nice gun! :clapping:

This trade with approx $250 or sell for $900 (price reduced for quick sale) is still available. I would like to meet with someone tomorrow, thursday. Any takers? :mrgreen: Please bring your CHL.

Hos,

You might take the time to explain exactly what you are looking for so no one else wastes any of their time.

After us making a deal and having a meeting set, you asked tonight for the serial number of my Ruger. After giving you the serial number and the link to Ruger's page that links serial numbers to dates manufactured, you let me know that our meeting tomorrow is off because you want a newer model than my like new Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle (with scope) which was manufactured in 2004.

Buying, selling, and trading guns here on the forum involves trust between the parties involved. I've done deals with quite a few of the board members and had successful meetings with each of them. If you want to conduct a successful trade, please be very specific in your posts about what you are looking for, then stick to the deal you make. If you want a Mini-14 that is manufactured between certain dates, please state that up front. If I would have known that to begin with, I wouldn't have had to take the time to drive over to my bank on the other side of town today for the $250 cash difference you wanted in the deal.

Take care,
Dave

I'm not sure why you posted for I DID "take the time" to clarify what I wanted in the original post so the misunderstanding won't happen again. That's why I listed the model numbers this time... :headscratch

It was just a misunderstanding for when you said "like new, 50 rounds" I made the mistake of assuming it was a new gun by year, NOT a 2004 gun. There have been major modifications to the Mini 14 in later models. I apologize that you took the time to get cash but I DID update the original post and let you know as soon as I looked up the model number. Sorry...

From the thread above, I am convinced that there was less than full disclosure on the part of the seller.
