Forgotten history: The taking of the Royal Yacht, 1861

This is a fascinating story (for those with an attention span longer than a tweet) about some of the strong personalities in the history of the War Between the States. In 1861 (150 years ago today), a young Union officer staged a midnight raid to take a schooner that had been protecting Galveston Bay.
